Laura Sandys has requested an urgent meeting with Panther Securities to discuss a number of empty, derelict properties owned by the Company in Thanet.
Laura said: “Panther Securities appear to have several empty properties in Thanet and urgent action needs to be taken to prevent them from further affecting local residents and traders. I raised concerns with the Company several weeks ago about 8-10 High Street in Broadstairs as it has not only been empty for a significant period of time but is also in a terribly dilapidated condition. I was astonished to read this Tuesday’s Thanet Times which reported that Panther Securities also owns 79-85 High Street, Ramsgate, another empty property blighting our Towns.
“Empty properties are one of my absolute bugbears. They are completely unjustified when so many people are desperately looking for homes at present. I will be putting my concerns and those of local residents to Panther Securities so that we can get these properties cleaned up and back in use as a matter of urgency.”
