Laura Sandys MP was grilled by Year Six students at Sandwich Junior School on Friday during an ‘Ask Your MP’ question time.
Laura said “The Year Six students had some fantastic questions about the curriculum and were keen to know all about what happens behind the scenes in Parliament. The pupils also asked me about the Prime Minister, The Queen, and even boy bands! I did have to admit that I didn’t know a lot about One Direction but I hope that that wasn’t too much of a disappointment.
“After the Q&A I sat down with the hardworking Sandwich Junior School Council to discuss their work and I have promised to be in contact with Kent County Council about the points raised. It is great to see such an active School Council who clearly work very closely with their headteacher, Mrs Roberts.”
