Laura Sandys MP visited Cliftonville Farmers’ Market on Sunday as part of the National Love Your Local Market fortnight.
Laura said: “In Thanet we are very lucky to have some of Kent’s very best local markets. They provide a great community hub and traders offer exciting, fresh and innovative products that you won’t find elsewhere. Whether you are in Sandwich, Broadstairs, Ramsgate or Cliftonville, there’s a lovely local market just around the corner.
“The monthly Cliftonville Farmers’ Market is a great example of a market that is really at the heart of the community. It was set up by the Cliftonville Residents’ Association and is run by the wonderful Chadbands who set up come rain or sunshine. There’s always lots of lovely local produce on offer and you can’t help but leave with a bag full of goodies!”
National Love Your Local Market Week runs from 15th to 29th May 2013.
