Laura Sandys held a special advice surgery for sixth formers at Chatham and Clarendon Grammar School on Friday following their visit to the Houses of Parliament earlier in the week.
Laura said: “This was the first time I’d taken my MP’s advice surgery into a school and it was great to have so many students approach me with such a wide range of queries, concerns and ideas. It is really important that I hear from every age group but very few young people come along to my usual surgeries so I decided to go to them! I’ve promised to take all the work from our meetings away and return to the students once I’ve raised their issues with the relevant ministers and organisations. I am really looking forward to taking my School Surgery to visit other students around Thanet over the coming months.”
