Laura Sandys MP is supporting a group of sixteen year olds from Ramsgate taking part in this summer’s National Citizen Service project as they clean up Artwise community centre.
Laura said: “It was fantastic to meet with the teenagers on the National Citizen Service programme in Thanet. I was really excited to hear that the team had selected Artwise in Ramsgate for their social action project. They are transforming its garden to make the space more enjoyable for all those who use it.
“The group have already spent a fortnight away from home taking part in a packed schedule of adventure and personal development activities. Now they are developing and undertaking their community project which will have a big impact on the centre.
“The National Citizen Service programme is such a worthwhile thing to do over the long summer holiday and provides young people with a great set of skills for their future. It’s an opportunity for them to have real fun, meet new people, learn how to work as a team and enhance their CVs whilst making a tangible difference to their communities.”
